What to look for when buying a moped
The size

We would recommend then that you take a look at the size of the moped and compare it to yourself. Does it seem like a mope that would be comfortable for you to drive?
The engine size
Another factor is the engine size. We sell 49cc, 50cc, and 125cc mopeds. This will mean buying something with the right engine size and top speed for you. For example, the engine size will be the major determining factor in the top speed of your vehicle. 30mph is the top speed of a modern moped at 50cc, while our 125cc mopeds can pick up a top speed up to around 60 miles per hour. It just depends on personal preference, really.
The transmission
Always look into what kind of transmission you would prefer. When buying a scooter from Direct Bikes, you can pick one up that has either Manual or Automatic transmission. This means that if you choose you could buy a bike without any use for gears. If you don’t want to have to handle gear changes as you drive, then go for one of our various Automatic mopeds, available in both 50cc and 125cc ranges.
The mileage
